This word is one of the most common, intangible, and fragile when we speak of relationships in which I am not only referring to being partners but to family, friends, siblings, loved ones, and even to strangers. So I share this post as an open letter for my 23 yr. old self and a prayer with my personal Savior, Jesus Christ ❤

This song, it hit right in the feels.

Hillsong Young & Free – Youth Revival

When it doesn’t go my way
I know that it is not the end
I’m trusting you have better plans
I haven’t even dreamt of yet

I know that You are for me
When everything’s against me
I put all my hope in You

Jesus I will trust You
I will trust you
I know you never fail
I will trust you
Jesus I will
Jesus I will

I don’t know how the story ends
But I know that You finished it
I’ll close my eyes and just let go
And fall into my only Hope

There’s safety in the falling
When I surrender fully
I put all my hope in You

The only thing I know
Is God you’re in control
In every little detail
You are close
I’ll never be alone
Here in the unknown
The power of Your Presence
Fills my soul

Now everything I know
Is God you’re in control
In every little detail
You are close
I’ll never be alone
Here in the unknown
The power of Your Presence
Fills my soul

Listen to the track here.

We can only trust if we have faith and believe. I hope we all find the courage to pursue trust even thought the things ahead are vague.

Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Galatians 6:9 – And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Thank you Jesus, I trust in you.

Enough said.

It’s my first post this year! and guess what.. I’ve stayed true to my word! That I’m going to be one committed blogger 😀 Why? because I’ve been taking outfit shots relentlessly. And I’m taking it one step at a time. Shout out to my photographer 🙂 (and again better late than never. Woop!)

I’ve also dared to try on different styles these days. It is becoming minimal but it is becoming more of my taste; not trying to be or following anyone else. And so, I wore this last year’s color of the year… this year. (WHUT) Marsala, maroon, burgundy or whatever you call it. Petite girls like me don’t usually wear long dresses thinking that they’ll look even more shorter. But I dared & tried because my lifestyle says so. I’ve been living fast paced these days that thinking what to wear and what to pair just kills my time and I have no time for that. And so, I had to plan in advance. This option is just good to go. Sticking to my fashion goal also made me wear this, “THE-TRYING-OUT-SOMETHING-NEW” Kind of goal.

I hope I’ll be a better blogger this year and continue with what I’ve started because I’m trying my best for now 😀 heeeeeheeee. One thing I also need to remember is to not forget to write down a topic of what I want to write about whenever it popped into my mind. (Because that always happens and then I forget -___-)

Anyway, thank you for reading this post. I pray we all stick to our goals and stay true to ourselves this year.

The hopeful one,

Xoxo, Shannen ❤

RECAP 2015

Today, I’m probably going to write the longest post I’ll ever be writing here because this is a SUMMARY of last years’ outfit shots I haven’t blogged about. I solemnly swear that this year I’ll be more dedicated to my blog. It’s my passion in the first place and like a breather through all the work I’m doing in my everyday grind. Not blogging doesn’t mean I’m not taking any outfit shots. So here it is! I’m presenting to you may faces. LELS. Hey! Better late for a year than never right? HAHAHA 😀

A month where I deprived food. Can’t believe I’m so tiny here. Or thin. Or not. Take me back to this size pleaseeeeee? And check out that colored hair! It’s my first time to put color in my hair here. #Dry&frizzy

I pulled off this belly showing photo this month which is by the way, candid.

This blazer is a Valentine’s gift from the boyfriend. 😉 I actually love the lighting in these photos. It’s during the time of the day when people sleep and I shoot :p

Another blazer ensemble. This time a little bit formal with a twist and color popping everywhere.

Light rays of a sunset are my thing too. It’s magical. These shots are taken on  a birthday party

at golden hour by my photographer friend. Isn’t it amazing?

The month I decided to cut my locks off to give way to the fringe-ey bangs.

The off shoulder trend started peeping in my life this month. It has been my favorite since. Plus florals!

Another floral and ripped jeans combooo. I think it’s another experimental outfit for me because I don’t really use aviators. It doesn’t fit. I think. In my face. 😀

Things have become stable this month because I have finally adjusted. In my time, my own pace, and the plans are finally drifting. Thank God. And in the fashion area, I have set to mind the items that I want. So I’m preparing myself. Get ready 2016! 😀

I love these strappy sandals. It’s like a must have item. DSC_0829 DSC_0818 DSC_0830 DSC_0817

My first time to hike a few hundred steps just to have few pictures taken! 😀 Here is the only remembrance of an outfit shot last month since it was heck of a busy month! It was a whirlwind of going back and forth, traveling, and attending all these events. But it was my most favorite month! I love the holiday rush 2015! Just thanking God for all his blessings that HE has showered to me and my family. #grateful

So there you go! My 2015 was tight but I’m just thankful for all the lessons, blessings, failures, and success. And I’m closing it with the thought of a more positive, bright, adventurous, joyful, unique 2016. Happy that my first month is going really well.

I’m hoping that you all will be blessed too!

Thank you 2015.

Let’s go 2016!

Fashion Post: A Shade of Zaffre

How have you been doing? It’s a rainy Saturday on a summer.  And I’m just here listening to Bethel while spontaneously writing this post.  These shots were taken last November and can you imagine how delayed my posts are? I just don’t want to make excuses anymore 😀  It’s been awhile since I’ve wrote a new journal and only God knows the things I’ve been doing. I’m sure I’m heading to a greater plan that He has than I have for myself even though some things are still a little vague and unsure for me. Maybe all I need right now is a little time to cope with this life’s “constants” but I keep reminding myself to take one step at a time and not jump into a puddle, only to find out that it’s not gonna work for me. Do I even make sense. Lels. Well, everyday I keep hoping for the best things to come and I thank the Lord in advance 🙂

P.S. Who needs a workout when this top I’m wearing can contour the bod’s shape? I love it when that happens because your belly pounds are hidden right away. HAHAHA 😀

Well, I gotta go. Still have a 200 item test that’s waiting for me and that’s what I’m going to do for the rest of the day.

Thank you for reading! Keep the faith 🙂

Fashion Post: Silver Lining

Hey errrbody 🙂

I finally have a new post -____- Hihi. Decided to edit a few of my pictures today since I literally did nothing because I declared it my rest day and just because I really just don’t  feel like doing anything. So to make it up with productivity, here’s a new outfit post 🙂

Notice how I seem to always wear black every now and then? It’s because it’s the easiest to pair with metallic colors! I’m addicted with gold and silver these days, well mostly gold, because it’s so classy. But of course it depends on how you style and what you pair it with. But for this outfit, I went for silver and paired my skirt with this ”lacey” button down top that’s from my mom  and black wedges with silver studs 🙂 You can’t really see how silver the skirt is because of the exposure but will work on that. Hihi. And of course, it’s becoming a habit of mine to always relate the title of my posts to my personal life. (That’s if I could think of anything. Lol) Silver lining is the term used when you want to emphasize the hopeful side of a situation that might seem gloomy on the surface. And right now, I think i’m on the gloomy side of things because there are a few matters that I’ve been thinking about deeply which I  cannot really specify ☂ But hey, there’s always a greener pasture on the other side right? I know positive thinking always leads to a positive outcome and that’s where I get my  hopes up every time ☁ I wish that you would always be hopeful on whatever life throws at and find the silver lining ♥

So what do you think?

Til’ my next post!
